This Sunday, the Brunch Bunch will be gathering at a new restaurant, The Eye Opener Cafe, in downtown Battle Ground. It is located next to the Pizza King in downtown Battle Ground. Since the downtown is only about a block and a half long, we don't think you'll have any problems finding it, as long as you can find Battle Ground.
The Brunch Bunch is a joiners group, open to anyone who would like to join for good food and good company. The Eye Opener Cafe is a new local restaurant that features huge omlets and buritos, and a chocolate gravy, as well as the usual breakfast fare.
After Brunch, you may also want to visit the Tippecanoe Battlefield, where, on a cold gray frosty morning 199 years ago to the day (November 7, 1811) the 1000+ troops of William Henry Harrison defeated the warriors of the Indian confederacy led by the Prophet (brother of the Shawnee Chief, Tecumseh) in what what was essentially the first battle in the War of 1812. There will be a commerative service held at the Battlefield from 1:00 til 3:00 pm that afternoon.
Date: Sunday, November 7th
Time: 11:00 am
Place: The Eye Opener Cafe, 103 North St., downtown Battle Ground [map]
